Booking terms and conditions

The customer will be responsible for their own safety at all times and agrees that training will be at their own risk.  The training group staff cannot be responsible for any loss, damage or injury.

If the customer is using their own vehicle for training, it must comply with all legal requirements and proof must be shown prior to the vehicle being used for training purposes.

Courses start at 9am prompt, unless by prior arrangement.

If a customer ends any training, before the allocated time, no refund will be given.

Appropriate clothing must be worn for all training. BCMT can provide the customer with a helmet, gloves and jacket.  Any additional clothing is the responsibility of the customer.

The customer must have a UK driving licence, it must be presented to the training staff prior to training commencing. The customer must also provide their National Insurance number.

The customer must demonstrate the ability to read a standard number plate at a distance of no less than 20 metres prior to any practical training taking place.  If glasses or contact lenses are needed for this, they are to be used for the duration of the training.

The customer should have a good working knowledge of the highway code.

The required fee will be paid at the start of all lessons.  A minimum of 48 hours’ notice must be given for cancelling any lessons or a late cancellation fee will be applied.

Customers must behave in a responsible manner whilst training, or their training will be terminated without refund.

Should any damage occur to B.C. Motorcycle Training (BCMT) property or that of any third party, the customer is liable for the first £250 of any costs incurred.

DAS trainining will incur an deopsit of £210 to be taken at the start of the course.  This deposit is non-refundable and covers the costs of the trainee’s final lesson and both test fees for Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests,  Should a trainee fail to attend a pre-booked lesson or give less than 48 hours notice a lesson fee of £130 will still be charged. 

On booking a lesson/CBT there is a £95 non-refundable booking fee to reserve the place.  This booking fee will be deducted from the cost of the training providing the customer turns up on time on the pre-arranged date.  If the customer needs to postpone their lesson/CBT till a later date, BCMT must be informed no less than 48 hours before the original agreed start time of the training or the booking fee will be lost.  If a customer fails to attend the lesson/CBT the booking fee will not be refunded.  We strongly recommend customers phone to ensure a suitable date for the lesson can be agreed.

Fees can be paid in cash or by card.  Please do not send any cash through the post.  Payments by credit card will incur an additional surcharge of 2.5%.  Debit cards do not incur a surcharge.
